Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records using Xero.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely supplier payments and customer invoicing.
- Oversee credit control processes, including chasing overdue payments and managing debtor relationships.
- Preparing quotations and chasing for Purchase Orders.
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting.
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors as required.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a finance or bookkeeping role.
- Proven experience using Xero accounting software or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of credit control and balance sheet management.
- Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desirable:
- Experience working in a healthcare setting (NHS or private sector).
- AAT qualification or equivalent (or working towards) or qualified through significant experience within a finance setting.
- Familiarity with payroll and VAT returns.
